Professor David Anderson

Our President 2024-2025

David joined Probus in 2016 and, as well as being a committee member for many years, has  edited the our monthly newsletter for the last 5 years.

Before retirement he was a Professor in the Physics Department at Oxford University and Head of Monthly and Seasonal Forecasting at  ECMWF*.

After formal retirement he chaired several UK govermental research programmes.

David is keen on hiking in the mountains and may often be seen around Woodstock on his bicycle
